After the success of the previous two festivals in Karlsruhe which had a mix of German and English workshops and shows and the great feedback we got, we decided to go international!
This year we decided to do it mostly in English! Improfestival Karlsruhe will feature one English panel discussion about improv, nine totally different shows (two in German), eight workshop-instructors from all over the world, and a total of 24 different workshops!
This year, workshop instructors will also serve as our festival-ensemble! Instructors will each produce a show in which other instructors will participate. Instructors will bring their own improv experience to the stage and will host their own formats.
In addition our festival will open with a panel discussion on Thursday night. We want to hear different opinions about improv, where this art form is headed and what improv means to our workshop instructors and festival participants.
We have a wonderful ensemble of eight talented improvisers from around the world. Each of them will teach three workshops! They will also put together seven amazing shows. Click on the different instructors to find out which workshops they will teach!
We are thrilled to welcome you to Karlsruhe, Germany to participate in fantastic workshops and watch amazing shows by our wonderful, international cast!
